Sayari is pleased to welcome Erwan Bourgeois who joins us as an environmental scientific student. He will help us on LCAs and environmental studies.
Interview of Erwan :
Why did you choose Sayari?
E: During a last internship whose subject was about materials with a reduced carbon footprint, I got to know the world of life cycle analysis, but without really understanding the software used, I think that Sayari can teach me the technical skills needed for this kind of study. Moreover, I already had a professional experience in the food industry, so I was immediately attracted by their current and future projects.
What will you be working on?
E : I work with Aurore on various missions, especially for the completion of Life Cycle Assessments and other environmental studies.
What are the environmental issues that concern you the most?
E: Like most students of my generation, environmental issues are part of my personal and professional reflections. I don’t believe there’s one issue more of concern than another. However, as far as I am concerned, I would say that the impact of human activity on marine biodiversity is the one that concerns me the most, because I am very interested in underwater diving and navigation.
What are your favorite hobbies?
E : What is simple, universal and timeless : cooking, plants, art and literature. As a sport : football, running, apnea and navigation.
Do you have a motto?
E : I would probably pick a citation from Antoine de St-Exupéry about the necessity to find the meaning of our actions.
If you were an animal, you would be…
E : Probably a bird.
If you were to go to a deserted island, what are the three things you would take with you ?
E : A knife, a pot and a rope.
