Anne Claire Asselin founded Sayari in 2018 to support companies and organizations in the development of their business model towards sustainability and sustainable innovation.
Her experience covers:
• LCA and Environmental footprint
• Biodiversity footprint
• Toxicity
• Environmental « Life Cycle Inventory” databases, especially for food value chains, from “farm to fork”.
• LCA critical reviews, and review panel chair
• Trainings on consumer information and labeling, ecodesign, environmental footprint in France and abroad (Brazil, South Africa,…)
• Life cycle impact assessment (LCIA)
Anne-Claire is a member of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) of the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) led by the European Commission. She is especially involved in topics around sustainable agriculture. She also contributes to projects hosted by the United Nations, especially to the “Life Cycle Impact Indicators (GLAM).
Anne-Claire is the founder of the X-Food think-tank which brings together alumni of the Ecole Polytechnique around the topic of sustainable food systems. Its main missions are to enlighten controversies and promote innovation.
Anne-Claire is an engineer by training. She is a graduate of École Polytechnique ParisTech University (X84) and Ponts et Chaussées ParisTech University (1990).
Aurore joined Sayari in September 2019. She graduated from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) with a Master’s degree in Biology, specializing in “Animal Behavior and Ecology & Biodiversity” and a second Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Law. During her first master’s degree, she conducted several field and laboratory studies in ecology, especially in marine habitats. The last one was done in alternance between September 2019 and June 2021 with the Institut Supérieur de l’Environnement (ISE) in Versailles and Sayari.
She has a good knowledge of marine ecosystems. Aurore has conducted several research projects on lionfish invasion in the Caribbean, on coral bleaching and on overfishing. She has a strong experience in project management (creation, coordination, project follow-up, writing reports and presentations) especially in the field of environmental ecology and biodiversity. She also has a strong knowledge of databases and GIS tools.
She is also an expert in life cycle assessment. She contributes to projects hosted by the United Nations, especially to the “Life Cycle Impact Indicators (GLAM)”. Aurore is a member of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) of the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) led by the European Commission. She is especially involved in topics around sustainable agriculture. She also mentors interns and young students for semester projects.
She assists Sayari’s clients in assessing the environmental impacts (LCA and biodiversity) of their products and services throughout their value chain. She is a project engineer in the calculation of environmental metrics.
Grégoire collaborated with Sayari from 2019 to 2022 in their study on the impact of overfishing on biodiversity. Engineer from Ecole Polytechnique (X18), specializing in Science for Environmental Challenges, Grégoire is also a graduate of a Masters of Science in Marine Ecosystem Management from the University of St Andrews (Scotland). During his Masters studies, he studied sustainability of human activities and ecosystem-based solutions on various aquatic environments such as the North Sea, Guadeloupe, or Lake Victoria.
Specialising in marine environment but interested in all environmental topics, Grégoire joined Sayari in September 2022 as an LCA and biodiversity consultant. His studies in France, Iceland, and Scotland bring international experience and education, with focuses on various scientific methods, biodiversity, and ecosystem services issues. Grégoire is notably in charge of the development and enrichment of the calculation method of the product biodiversity footprint.
He assists Sayari’s clients in assessing the environmental impacts (LCA and biodiversity) of their products and services throughout their value chain.
Maxime is an expert in sustainable development in the food sector and is specialized in environmental display. He worked on the previous phase of experimentation and was a member of the technical committee of the AGB 3.0 food LCA database.
He works with Sayari on the development of new methods and works on pesticides. He also works on the relevance of the planet-score and on its development on a larger scale.
