This study compares the biodiversity impacts of primary and secondary aluminium production using a life cycle thinking approach.
We evaluate the collected data to assign confidence scores and focus on several contextual sub-factors related to land and sea use changes. As part of the pilot phase, three recycling centers in Europe and China were analyzed to better understand the differences and guide sustainable practices.
