Meet our newest team member!

Sayari is pleased to add Juliette PINAUD to its team as an environmental studies assistant. We took this opportunity to ask her a few questions.
Here’s her interview.
Why did you choose Sayari?
I have a strong interest in environmental issues, due to various professional experiences and my academic background in Energy and Sustainability at ENSTA Paris. That is why the position of Environmental Research Officer at Sayari seemed particularly meaningful for my gap year internship. I was then convinced by Sayari’s unique profile, which combines research and business expertise, and finally by the fact that its human scale gave me the opportunity to be at the heart of its projects and to understand them in their entirety.
What will you be working on?
I’m currently working on providing data for cosmetic use.
Which environmental issues concern you most?
I care deeply about soil management and food security. I worked on an organic farm for over a month and it really raised my awarness of this issue. Of course, all components of the climate system are interconnected, but to me, the lack of access to food seems to be the most immediate danger for populations across the world.
What are your favorite hobbies?
I’ve been deeply involved in music since I was little. I compose for a band I formed with my brothers, and I play bass, piano, and sing. I love performing on stage, but I also really enjoy attending concerts, organizing them, and even helping set up the stage. I also enjoy playing sports, I’ve been windsurfing and dancing since I was five and I recently started playing volley-ball.
If you had to go to a deserted island, what 3 things would you take with you?
I’d definitely bring 3 friends in order not to go insane, excepted if it’s a small island, then I’d probably take a lamp, a knife and a guitar.
